Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to show the extent of Jordan's contribution to the decisions of the Arab summit conferences and the impact of these decisions.

Methods: To achieve the study objectives, the researcher utilized a descriptive-analytical approach to diagnose the research problem, characterize the conferences, and analyze criticisms. The decision-making approach was employed to address decision-related issues within the conference. The systems analysis approach was used to examine Arab environment inputs, conference rationale, and outcomes as decisions and policies. Lastly, a historical approach traced summit development, showcasing changes in the process, Jordan's increasing role in adhering to Arab summit decisions, reconciling conflicts, and responding to global shifts.

Results: The study presented a set of results related to the effectiveness of the Arab summit conferences and the increase in their importance. Jordan consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to participating in Arab summits and exerting influential decision-making through its active diplomatic efforts under successive leaders. The country steadfastly upholds the implementation of Arab summit decisions, prioritizing collective regional interests over its own when necessary.

Conclusions: The researcher presented a set of recommendations, including interest in holding conferences continuously and the necessity of giving priority to the higher Arab public interest at the expense of the interests of each country, and prepared an appendix to summit conferences at the end of the research showing the sequence of these conferences and the reason for their convening and the most important decisions taken in them
