Linguistic Issues according to Dia AL-Din Ibn Al-Atheer in his Book (The Exemplar in the Literature of the Writer and the Poet)

Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the linguistic thought of Dhia Al-Din Ibn Al-Atheer through his book The Parable in the Literature of the Writer and Poet, and lists the most important grammatical references mentioned by Ibn Al-Atheer in his book, and accusing him of some writers of making grammatical errors, and mentioned some of the grammatical rules known and contrary to each other The other, and the study shows the positions of right and wrong in grammatical rulings, inferring it from its manifestations, and highlighting the usefulness of the opinions in it that help the writer, poet and interested in Arabic in this era. The study concluded the most important results: 1. Ibn Al-Athbar was citing what he says of the Qur’an and poetry, and he was drawing a way for writers and poets to draw their methods from the Holy Qur’an. 2. He had views on the meanings of the Qur’an, most of which were tracings for the former, such as al-Jarjani and al-Zamakhshari, and some of them indicate a conscious and accurate thought of the secrets of the Qur’an’s language and its miracle. 3. The research shows the great importance of the book of the proverb in the literature of the writer and poet - in addition to describing it as a critical and rhetorical book, as it is a manhole from which the book and poets aspire from the Arabic expressing the intended meanings.
