The Factors of Wife's Violence against Husband in the Jordanian Community

This study aimed at identifying the most important factors of wife's violence against husband in the Jordanian community as well as identifying whether there are statistically significant differences in the wife's tendency towards behaving violently against her husband according to the variables of (age, educational qualification, place of residence, work place, income). In order to achieve the study objectives, a questionnaire was developed to collect data. The study population consisted of (92) respondents and the study sampled included all the individuals in the study population. The analytical descriptive approach and the social survey approach were used to collect the study data. (SPSS 22) was used for data analysis. The results revealed that the mean scores for the domains of wife's violence against husband in the Jordanian community ranged between medium to high, where the domain of (social factors) gained a high level of violence, followed by the (economic factors) with a high level of violence, then (the cultural factors) with a high -violence level, (the physiological factors) with a high level of violence, (the sexual factors) with a medium level of violence and finally (the psychological factors). The results showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample individuals concerning the factors of wife's violence against husband in the Jordanian community attributed to the variables of (age, educational qualification, place of residence, work place, income). The study concluded with a number of recommendations.
