Abstract

Objectives: This study focuses on the solidarity strategy as manifested in Al-Hamadhani's "Maqama Al-Baghdadiya." The research adopts a discourse analysis methodology, which is based on extrapolating issues related to the deep structures of texts, followed by categorizing, describing, and analyzing them.

Methods: The study undertakes the analysis and description of the linguistic mechanisms and tools that embody the solidarity strategy as utilized by Al-Shahri in the "Maqama Al-Baghdadiya," using a descriptive-analytical approach. This approach involves systematically collecting data and then analyzing it to identify patterns and relationships among the different elements.

Results: The importance of this study lies in its clear presentation of what is embedded within the "Maqama," and in its analysis of Isa ibn Hisham’s method of narrating events according to the solidarity strategy in discourse analysis. The research concludes that the solidarity strategy is evident in the narrative space of the "Maqama," playing a storytelling role supported by persuasion and guidance, ultimately leading to solidarity and the achievement of the intended goal. Additionally, the semantic relationships within the text have a clear role in its coherence and unity, with the tools of the solidarity strategy acting as the binding thread.

Conclusions: The study recommends conducting further research on the "solidarity strategy" in discourse analysis by examining various texts from different cultural and linguistic environments. This would enhance the understanding of how this strategy manifests in both ancient and modern literary, media, and political texts.
