The Effectiveness of Using Digital Images on the X Platform A Study Applied to the Official Page of the University of Hail

Objectives: The study aims to identify the extent of usage and the effectiveness of digital images on the official page of the University of Hail displayed on the X Platform. It also attempts to pinpoint the most broadly used images in terms of quantity, quality, size and kind. In addition, the study seeks to determine the most commonly published topics on the page and the tweets with the most views.
Methods: The researcher uses the content analysis tool to analyze the content. A questionnaire was designed in its initial form and presented to specialists in the field. Following modifications, the questionnaire assumed its final form, then the study was applied to the selected sample, namely: (200) publications on the official page of the University of Hail on the X platform, representing the entire research sample.
Results: The study finds that the most prominent topics published by the official page of the University of Hail are activities and events, while the most commonly used form is advertisement images. These images are limited to one per each publication. Medium-sized images are the most prevalent, while high-quality images score the highest value.
Conclusions: Images play an important and prominent role in conveying meaning and supporting media content published on social media platforms, especially the X platform, as the most famous among digital platforms.
