Objectives: The study aimed to clarify the role that King Hussein played after assuming his constitutional powers on May 2, 1953 AD, which focused on the interest in economic development, of which education and vocational education were the most prominent factors, which contributed to the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Federal Republic of Germany. In the same context, the study aimed to clarify the economic factors, financial weakness, and the lack of availability of raw materials necessary for industry and energy materials such as oil, gas, and coal. The study aimed to clarify the role of King Hussein in developing political and economic relations after upgrading diplomatic relations to the level of the embassy in 1956. This role emerged for King Hussein based on the traditional friendship with the British state and the United States of America. King Hussein's visit to the Federal Republic of Germany played an important role in encouraging German governments to help Jordan economically and politically.
Methodology: The study relied on the analytical historical approach, which relied on unpublished German documents in the archives of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and contemporary sources, and employed them to serve the subject of the study that was not researched before.
Results: The study reached the following important results. The study proved that King Hussein played a fundamental role in establishing diplomatic relations and raising them to the level of the embassy, establishing economic relations, and obtaining economic assistance such as: establishing the cement company, extending the railway to transport phosphate to the port of Aqaba, and expanding Aqaba port, the one that facilitated the process of Jordanian exports.
Conclusion: King Hussein played a distinguished role in the exchange of diplomatic representation between Jordan and Federal Germany, and quickly developed and pushed it to the level of the embassy. In the economic field, the Jordanian state received various German aid, and contributed to the development of vocational education in Jordan.
