يتناول هذا البحث دراسة التشكيل الفني من خلال قراءة نصيّة لهذه الرواية "محال" بالوقوف عند دلالة العنوان والبناء الزمني والشخصية الروائية وصوت الراوي، وغيرها من تقنيات السرد ذات الدلالة الفنية التي تمثل الأحداث الدرامية ذات الطابع الفني وهو ما يميز هذا العمل مع الإشارة إلى دلالة المكان في أبعاده ومضامينه الروائية ودوره في إبراز الثيمة الروائية على نحو لافت، مع النظر إلى الملامح من تقنيات السرد التي يمكن أن تشي بها هذه الرواية مع العلم أن دراسة التشكيل الفني تحتاج إلى بحوث كثيرة .فقد اقتصر الباحث على بعضٍ منها تحققت وظهرت جليّة من خلال هذا النسيج الروائي في رواية محال للكاتب يوسف زيدان.
