الأهداف: تتناول هذه الدراسة تحليلًا نقديًا لرواية مؤنس الرزاز "اعترافات كاتم صوت" والذي يثير أسئلة جوهرية حول حكم الدستوبيا في العالم العربي في عقد الثمانينيات. إذ يهدف التحليل الى تحديد تصاعد الشمولية والاستبداد وكيفية تطويع الأشخاص.
المنهجية: استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الاستقرائي والاستنباطي، والمنهج التحليلي، فيما يتعلق بالوظيفة الأدبية للديستوبيا؛ أي كيف تم توظيف الديستوبيا كأداة أدبية في رواية "اعترافات كاتم صوت" ولماذا تصبح مكونًا هيكليًا رئيسيًا فيها. وتقدم هذه الدراسة تفسيرًا كافيًا لمفهوم الدستوبيا من خلال جمع البيانات والأدلة من المقالات والكتب، ثم تحليلها وتطبيقها على الرواية المختارة.
النتائج: وضح التحليل استخدام الكاتب لتقنيات من مثل التشويق السردي للرد على حالات العنف في هذا العصر. وعلاوة على ذلك، كشفت الورقة التقنيات التي مكنت الرواية من التعرف على الواقع المرير في النظام العربي الشمولي. وأكدت على وجه التحديد ردود الفعل على الواقع المأساوي حيث كشفت الرواية ردات الفعل نحو الشمولية، وأكدت على مكانة الأدب كمنهج للكشف عن القمع في ظل الأنظمة العربية الاستبدادية.
الخلاصة: كشفت الدراسة عن أسباب توظيف الرزاز للديستوبيا في روايته واستخدام تصوراته التاريخية الأدبية لتقديم سردا واضحا. كما وأشارت إلى استغلال الأنظمة العربية واستبدادها.
