The Use of Augmented Reality Technology in Al Arabiya News Programs an Analytical Study of the 60 Hour Program

Objectives The study aims to identify the technology of augmented reality in the development of news programs and to study the elements and levels of its use in the Hour 60 program on Al-Arabiya TV. It also aimes to know the enhancement of the augmented reality of the editorial material and to study the methods and applications of the augmented reality.
Methodos: The study uses the survey method employing the content analysis tool for augmented reality technology and its uses in the Hour 60 program and how it contributes to the development of the content industry. The study relies on a deliberate sample from August 19 to October 9, with an average of 8 episodes every Friday per week.
Results: The findings reveal that the most used elements of augmented reality are visual effects (37.5%), motion (31.3%), music (22.9%), sound effects (8.3%), mental and intimidating stimuli (25.8%), mixed (6.5%), and finally emotional with (3.2%).The indicators of augmented reality came in the embodiment of the event and place with a rate of (37.5%), while the embodiment of meanings is with a rate of (20%).
Conclusions: The findings show the interest of Al-Arabiya channel in using augmented reality in the field of television production. The study recommends the need to expand the introduction of technology in media materials in the channel and media institutions because of its scientific value and itsamazing form of presentation and support for explanation and clarification.
