The Role of the Media in Developing Physical and Health Awareness for Women’s Participant in Health Centers

This study aims at recognizing the role of sports media in developing physical and health awareness among female participants in health centres from the perspective of the participants themselves. The study sample consisted of (500) participants in health centres in Amman governorate. The researcher followed a descriptive approach with its survey image due to its suitability to the nature of the study objective; as the researcher designed a scale for the role of sports media in developing physical and health awareness among the female participants in health centers, and applied such study to a sample consisting of (500) women and girls participating in the health centers of Amman. The study tool consists of the following fields (knowledge, physical, social, health, nutritional, cultural and recreational). The researcher concluded that the sports media plays a moderate role in developing physical and health awareness among the female participants in the health centers in the fields of study, whereas the health, nutritional and physical fields have been highly ranked in the role of sports media in developing physical and health awareness, with a high and moderate degree, respectively. Whilst the recreational field ranked the last place, and that social networks are considered one of the most sports media that have an impact with high degree on raising physical and health awareness among the female participants in health centers.
