Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to analyze the positions of the US President Joe Biden administration towards the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip (2023-2024) and to examine the role of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in strengthening US support for Israel during this conflict.

Methods: The study employs an analytical approach, a decision-making approach, and a historical approach to achieve its objectives and answer its questions.

Results: The findings reveal that AIPAC plays a crucial role in sustaining bipartisan support for Israel's military actions in the Gaza Strip, ensuring that backing for Israel remains a central issue for US legislators. The US response to the Israeli war has exposed its double standards, as it politically, diplomatically, financially, and militarily supports Israel, while ignoring the widespread civilian casualties in Gaza and dismissing international and UN calls for a ceasefire.

Conclusion: Given the significant influence of AIPAC on US foreign policy towards the Palestinian issue, particularly evident in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, it is imperative to activate the role of the Arab lobby to exert pressure on American decision-makers and promote fair policies concerning the Palestinian cause.
