Jurisprudential Rules and Regulations Related to Diseases and Epidemics and their Jurisprudential Implementation: Covid-19– as a Model

Objectives: To expound the accuracy of the Islamic legislation, and highlight its utmost consideration to every large and small detail related to Man when being healthy and at times of diseases and epidemics and to link between the jurisprudential rules and regulations related to diseases and epidemics with the jurisprudential derivatives based on them.
Methods: The inductive-analytical method was adopted through tracing and extrapolating texts from the Qur'an, Sunnah and scholars' views then analyzing them to reach a general ruling that links the rule with its jurisprudential derivatives.
Results: The importance of jurisprudential rules and regulations in the Islamic legislation in regulating the derivatives and contemporary jurisprudential matters that are based on them and that a jurisprudential rule is a holistic jurisprudential matter by which religio-rulings of different topics based on it are reached. Furthermore, the study showed that "hardship begets ease", "anything narrowed shall be broadened; and anything broadened shall be narrowed". Results also showed that "necessities render prohibited things permissible", and "there should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm". Additionally, results showed that "the jurisprudential regulation is a holistic matter dedicated to one topic under which similar matters are ordered". And among the many jurisprudential regulations related to diseases and epidemics that are stated in this search are: "collective prayer is waived by hardship", "fasting is indivisible" and " pilgrimage is based on easiness".
Conclusions: Importance of gathering rules related to diseases and epidemics in a comprehensive encyclopedia.
