تتناول هذه الدراسة جهود المرأة المعاصرة في تفسير القرآن الكريم، وذلك بهدف الكشف عن المراحل التاريخية التي مرّ بها علم التفسير، وإظهار جهود المرأة في كل منها، والتعريف بالنساء المعاصرات اللواتي كان لهنَّ جهدًا في التفسير. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الاستقرائي وذلك لاستقراء كتب التراجم وتحديد النساء اللواتي كان لهنّ جهدٌ في التفسير و المنهج التاريخي وذلك بتتبع حركة التفسير على مر العصور، وبيان دور المرأة فيها و المنهج الوصفي في تقسيم البحث تقسيمًا علميًّا حيث تضمن القسم الاول معنى التفسير، وجهود المرأة في تفسير القران الكريم. أما القسم الثاني احتوى على التعريف بالنساء المُفسِّرات للقرآن في العصر الحاضر. و القسم الثالث تضمن أبرز معالم منهج المرأة في التفسير (المبصر لنور القرآن كأنموذجًا). وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج كان من أبرزها أن مشاركة المرأة للرجل في تفسير القرآن ظهرت منذ أول العهد الاسلامي، وأن مما تميّز به العصر الحاضر مساهمة المرأة في هذا العلم تأليفًا وتصنيفًا، سواء أكان ذلك على مستوى تفسير القرآن كاملًا، أم على مستوى تفسير بعض سور القرآن، أم على مستوى الموضوع القرآني.
