Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to identify the skills of public relations practitioners in civil society organizations, the roles they perform, the activities they carry out, and the tools they use.

Methods: A descriptive survey methodology was employed to examine public relations practices. The study was conducted on a convenience sample of 300 public relations practitioners working in civil society organizations in Jordan.

Results: The findings indicate no statistically significant differences in the communication activities of public relations practitioners based on gender, age, education level, or years of experience. However, a positive correlation was found between the communication activities conducted and the tools used to implement them. Likewise, the skills of public relations practitioners were positively correlated with the communication activities they perform in civil society organizations.

Conclusion: Communication activities in civil society organizations significantly influence the selection of communication tools. Additionally, the diverse skills of public relations practitioners enhance their ability to effectively fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
