Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed to identify the impact of using artificial intelligence on developing creative thinking skills among students of the humanities colleges at the University of Jordan.

Methods: The experimental method with a quasi-experimental design was used due to its suitability for the nature and goals of the study. The study sample consisted of 47 students from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan who were enrolled in the "Computerized Children’s Programs" course. Two sections were purposively selected, and their members were randomly assigned: one as a control group (25 students), and the other as an experimental group (22 students), which used the AI-based application ClassPoint. A validated and reliable creative thinking skills scale was used to measure outcomes.

Results: The study results showed a statistically significant impact of using artificial intelligence in developing creative thinking skills among humanities students at the University of Jordan.

Conclusion: In light of the results, the study recommended adopting the ClassPoint application, which is based on artificial intelligence, in teaching due to its positive effect on the learning and teaching process, as well as its role in enhancing creative thinking skills among students in the humanities colleges at the University of Jordan.
