Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to explore the level of satisfaction among female academics in Jordanian universities regarding digital higher education in Jordan, in light of certain social variables. It is designed as a field study to assess perceptions and experiences across a wide academic demographic.

Methodology: A comprehensive survey design was employed. The study population included all Jordanian female academics employed in public and private universities across various regions and academic ranks. The sampling frame was developed using databases maintained by the Jordanian Female Academics Association, which included contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and WhatsApp accounts. A questionnaire was specifically designed for the purposes of this research and distributed electronically via Microsoft Forms. A total of 150 completed questionnaires were deemed valid for statistical analysis.

Results: The findings indicated that the majority of satisfaction dimensions related to digital higher education were rated at a moderate level. These included domains such as the teaching and learning process and the role of academic staff. Nevertheless, participants generally expressed a positive attitude toward the digital education experience, particularly in the context of post-COVID-19 developments.

Recommendations: The study recommends that both public and private universities in Jordan invest in the continued enhancement of digital education practices. Furthermore, it advocates for the expansion of digital infrastructure across all regions of the country to promote equitable access and ensure balanced educational development.
