Objectives: This study aimed to identify the role of international television news networks in international conflicts.
Methods:.This study used the descriptive analytical approach and the comparative analysis approach by analyzing the role of global television news networks in international conflicts, especifically the American global television networks, French networks, networks in the Middle East, Russian networks, and finally Chinese networks, to determine how these television networks cover the current international conflicts. The study also aimed to conduct a comparative analysis of how these networks portrayed and dealt with the Israeli war on Gaza Strip in 2023, and compared it with the way those networkd potrayed and preseted the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2022.
Results:. The study results showed that the attitudes and perspectives that the majority of global television news networks hold toward international conflicts are influenced by the foreign policies of their countries, their interests, and the interests of their allies. The study also showed that global television news networks in the United States, Russia, and China reflected the implicit and explicit state of competition in the structure of the international system.
Conclusions: The study asserted the otion that global television news networks are considered one of the most prominent tools for managing war and global conflicts, as the development of satellite broadcasting has led to a multiplicity of stories and narratives related to disputes and conflicts at the global level.
