Objectives: This study aimed to identify the praises of Ali bin AL Jahm in an endeavor to determine their apparent cultural patterns and show the extent to which those poems succeeded or failed in becoming a publicity that tame the culture consumers and control their consciousness helping to achieve the goals of the agency’s power.
Method: The study used the cultural critical approach which utilizes its tool to detect hidden or implicit patterns in the discourse to show how those patterns consolidate their dominion and impose their own conditions on the receptionist.
Results: The study results showed that the explicit patterns which Ibn Al-JAhm categorized into to the model ruler or the tribal patterns effectively achieved the ideological goal of the regime’s agency.
Conclusion: This study asserts the notion that Ibn Al- Jahm was not a committed poet to incarnate the patterns which the cultural heritage school acknowledged except for the poems in which he praised Al Mutawakil. The study also showed that he partially followed those patterns in his praises of Al Mu’tasem an Al Wathiq in spite of the fact that those patterns did not go in line with his cultural as well as religious convictions.
