Human Relations among Faculty Members in Jordanian Universities from the Point of View of Students

Abstract

This study aims to identify the nature of human relations among faculty members in Jordanian universities from the point of view of students. Its sample consisted of (633) male and female students who were selected by a stratified random method. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire consisting of (38) items was developed and its items were divided into two areas: personal and academic relations. The variables of gender, college (humanitarian and scientific), and university (Al-Hashimiya, Yarmouk, and Al-Hussein) were used. The results of the study showed that the maintain human relations by faculty members with their students was moderate. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the extent to which faculty members maintain human relations due to the gender variable in favor of females, and the college in favor of humanities colleges and the university in favor of Yarmouk University. The study recommends holding seminars and workshops in order to provide faculty members with human relations skills..
