People of the Book, praise, Al-I’mranAbstract
Objectives: Studying the verses that praised some of the People of the Book in Surat Al-Imran, and knowing the types of praise, its causes, and the effect on it.
Methods: I proceeded in this study according to the objective inductive method, by tracing and studying the relevant verses.
Results: The study concluded that the characteristic of performing the trust with which God described some of the People of the Book is not related to the human personality only, as some researchers have said, it may be motivated by some texts of the Bible. This confirms that the origin of religion is one. Allah says: (The religion with Allah is Islam) (Al-Imran/19), and that all monotheistic religions came with the same human values, Among the findings of this study is that the Almighty says: (And indeed, among the People of the Book are those who believe in God) verse (Al-Imran: 199). It was revealed about Al-Najashi - may God have mercy on him -; For the authenticity of the hadiths in this, and this does not contradict with the fact that the Qur’an is valid for every time and place.
Conclusions: The study recommends studying the verses of praise to the People of the Book contained in other chapters of the Holy Qur'an, researching their connotations, and deriving the types and causes of such praise, and its impact.
