الأهداف: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد الإطار النظري الذي يحكم كيفيات تقديم المصطلحات اللغوية والتعريف بها، وذلك بالتطبيق على المعجم الوسيط أحد المعاجم الحديثة غير المختصة ذات الجهد الجمعي، والتحقق من مدى اتباع الوسيط قواعد ضابطة لعرض المصطلحات اللغوية سكًّا وتعريفًا، والكشف عن مدى استيعابه المسلك التنظيمي في الصنعة المعجمية وصولاً لتفعيله ثم إقراره.
المنهجية: اتّبع البحث المنهج الاستقرائي والتحليلي للخروج بالنتائج. وقد قام التحليل على نقاط ارتكازية، تشكّل مجتمعة قوائم العمل المعجمي وهي: البناء الفني، والبناء الصياغي، والبناء التنظيمي، والبناء المفاهيمي.
النتائج: توصل البحث إلى تحديد معايير عرض المصطلحات اللغوية في المعاجم، ورسم بناء هيكلي خاص ينظم عملية التأليف المعجمي. وتمحورت قوائم البناء التنظيمي في حسن التأليف، وإحكام الترصيف، ومنطقية التصنيف، ورصانة التصريف، ودقة التعريف، وسعة التوصيف. وهي تُسهِم مجتمعة بتشكيل منظومة معجمية متكاملة الأركان.
الخلاصة: يلج هذا البحث في عالم المعاجم؛ لرصد ما يحيط بها من معالم دلالية وقوائم بنائية. ولأن المرغب من العمل المعجمي والمنتهى إليه؛ هو تقديم المصطلح الدقيق والمفهوم العميق بشكل نظامي؛ جاءت فكرة البحث بالكشف عن هيكلية البناء التنظيمي لعرض المصطلح اللساني في المعاجم غير المختصة، وذلك بالوقوف على منهجيات رصفه، وآليات التعريف به بما يفيد الباحث والمختص بعلوم اللغة وآدابها.
