في هذا البحث دراسة نظم الجواهر في النواهي والأوامر للشيخ محمد بن سيف العتيقي، وتقسيم البحث إلى مبحثين وخاتمة، في كل مبحث ثلاثة مطالب، في المبحث الأول تم تعريف مصطلحات البحث، وذكر ترجمة مختصرة للناظم، ختم المبحث الأول من خلال إثبات نسبة النظم لناظمه، وبيان الخطأ في نسبته لغيره، مع عرض صور لنسخ المخطوط المعتمدة في التحقيق والدراسة، وبيان وصفها، وكيفية التوفيق بينها. وأما المبحث الثاني بدأ بوصف مجمل لمفردات وفصول النظم بأكمله، ثم ذكر الأبيات مع التحقيق وذكر اختلاف النسخ الخطية والكلمات المؤثرة، وتم ختم المبحث الثاني بإثبات شيء من التعليق والتعليل على الأبيات المتعلقة بأحكام الزكاة، وبيان أحكام الزكاة الواردة في الأبيات المذكورة، والاستدلال عليها من كتب الحنابلة، وتم ختم البحث بذكر النتائج والتوصيات. وكان من أهم النتائج؛ إثبات صحة نسبة النظم للشيخ محمد بن سيف العتيقي، وبيان الأحكام الفقهية الواردة في الأبيات وفق مذهب الناظم، وهو المذهب الحنبلي. وأما أهم التوصيات؛ فأوصت الدراسة بالاهتمام بتراث العلماء، والعمل على إحيائه واستخراجه، وخاصة ما يتعلق بالمنظومات الفقهية.
