Objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of a treatment program based on the behavioral support model, consisting of activities tailored to students with learning difficulties in Jordan. The program's objective is to reduce impulsive behavior and increase learning motivation among these students.
Methods: The study utilized a quasi-experimental method. Two scales were developed to collect data and address the study's questions. The impulsive behavior scale comprised 31 items, while the learning motivation scale consisted of 34 items. Both scales measured the responses of students with learning difficulties. The study sample included 20 male and female students from the second and fourth grades, divided equally into two groups: a control group and an experimental group, each containing 10 students.
Results: The study's findings revealed a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in terms of impulsive behavior, favoring the students in the experimental group. Similarly, there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group regarding motivation for learning, again favoring the students in the experimental group.
Conclusions: The study highlights the importance of encouraging professionals in the field of learning difficulties to implement behavioral programs based on the behavior support model. Such programs have been found to effectively reduce impulsive behavior and increase learning motivation among students with learning difficulties.
