External Efficiency of Faculty of Archeology and Tourism at the University of Jordan

The study was designed to determine the external efficiency of the Faculty of Archeology and Tourism. A descriptive approach was used in this study. The sample of the study consisted of (77) graduates. A (58)-item questionnaire was constructed. The dimensions of the instrument were based on their subtotal averages as follows: values and ethics, general characteristics, specialized knowledge, general knowledge, general skills, and specialized skills. The study finds that the external efficiency of the Faculty of Archeology and Tourism was high as a whole. There were no significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α=0.05) between the average estimates of employers for the performance of graduates of the Faculty of Archeology and Tourism at the University of Jordan due to the gender, experience, or training courses on all dimensions of the scale. In light of the results of the study, the researchers recommend the need to follow up on the performance of the graduates and provide continuous support for them to maintain this level of high performance. In addition, attention should be paid to the development of some general and specialized skills and to conducting other research on the internal and external efficiency of the colleges of tourism and archeology in Jordan.
