هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى استقصاء مقدار ما تفسره أبعاد مهارات التعايش في الهناء الذاتي لدى عينة من كبار الضباط المتقاعدين العسكريين في محافظة الكرك في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة جرى اختيار عينة من مؤسسة المتقاعدين العسكريين في محافظة الكرك بواقع (236) متقاعدا من كبار الضباط المتقاعدين العسكريين، وجرى تطوير مقياسين هما مقياس مهارات التعايش ومقياس الهناء الذاتي، والتحقق من خصائصهما السيكومترية، وطُبقت الدراسة ببداية العام (2019) على أفراد العينة. واستخدمت منهجية الدراسة الوصفية التنبؤية، وتوصلت نتائجها إلى أن مستوى امتلاك مهارات التعايش لدى كبار الضباط المتقاعدين العسكريين كان متوسطا بالدرجة الكلية، وتراوح بين الدرجة المتوسطة والمرتفعة في الأبعاد، وقد تبين أن مهارات التعايش تفسر ما نسبته (9.5%) من الهناء الذاتي، وأنه لا تختلف مهارات التعايش والهناء الذاتي تبعا للرتبة العسكرية، وبناء على نتائج الدراسة توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من التوصيات ومنها الاهتمام بفئة كبار الضباط المتقاعدين العسكريين والعمل على تحسين مهارات التعايش والهناء الذاتي لديهم.
