هدفت الدراسة إلى بناء دور تربوي مستقبلي للأسرة للتعامل مع ظاهرة الطلاق ذلك بالتعرف على الأسباب المؤدية إلى الطلاق من وجهة نظر الزوجات والأزواج المطلقين والآثار المترتبة على الطلاق على كل من الزوجة والأبناء ودرجة الاختلاف في الأسباب المؤدية إلى الطلاق باختلاف الجنس والعمر و عدد الأطفال و مستوى التعليم و مستوى الدخل بالنسبة للزوجات والأزواج المطلقين في الأردن.، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع حالات الطلاق في المملكة في السنوات الخمس الأخيرة من عام 2012 وحتى عام 2016 والبالغ عددها (24898 )حالة طلاق. و استناداً لذلك توصي الدراسة بنشر الوعي عن مخاطر العنف الأسري و انعكاساته المؤدية إلى الطلاق، وعقد ندوات حول القضايا الأسرية و حقوق كل من الزوج والزوجة و وتوعيتهم بالمشاكل التي قد يتعرض لها كلا الزوجين.
