Keywords:

Objectives: This study examines the effectiveness of a counseling program based on the PERMA model in enhancing psychological happiness and quality of life among hospital nurses.
Methods: Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study targeted 30 hospital nurses identified with the lowest scores in psychological happiness and quality of life. Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group. The counseling intervention consisted of 12 sessions, held twice weekly for 90 minutes each, and was implemented in 2024.
Results: Statistically significant differences were observed between the experimental and control groups in post-test scores, favoring the experimental group in both psychological happiness and quality of life. Furthermore, no significant differences were found between the post-test and follow-up scores within the experimental group, indicating that the program’s effects were maintained six weeks after its completion.
Conclusions: The study highlights the effectiveness and sustainability of the PERMA-based counseling program and recommends its application to broader populations across various regions for similar or alternative counseling objectives.
