Determinants of Change in Jordanian Foreign Policy towards the Conflict in Syria During the Period 2011-2020

Objectives: Analyze the trends of Jordanian foreign policy and explain the level of influence of the determinants of change on Jordanian foreign policy towards the conflict in Syria during the period 2011-2020.
Method: The study adopted the descriptive and analytical method, and the method was used to describe the developments and events in Syria since 2011 affecting Jordanian foreign policy, and to study and analyze the determinants that affected the process of change in Jordanian foreign policy towards the conflict in Syria since 2011.
Results: The study found that the level of change in Jordanian foreign policy towards the conflict in Syria was largely linked to the decision-maker’s ability to analyze the data and repercussions of the events in Syria and their impact on Jordanian national interests, and their intersection with the interests of international and regional actors (the United States of America, Russia, Iran). , Turkey) and the level of its role in the Syrian conflict.
Conclusions: It concluded that the elements of the strength of the Jordanian state lie in adopting the principle of just peace, respecting the privacy and interests of countries and the right of their people to self-determination, and that dialogue is the best means of understanding between nations and internal conflicting groups.
