The Feminist Perspective: A Practical Application of the Novel "A Pinch of Salt" by Amani Khalil

Objectives: This study aims to clarify the concept of perspective, different critical opinions about it, and ultimately define the concept of feminist perspective and its implications. The feminist writer sees writing as a means of liberation, self-discovery, and an attempt to change society.
Methods: The study selects the novel "A Pinch of Salt" by Egyptian novelist Amani Khalil, relying on a textual analytical approach. The novel is considered feminist in its approach and structure, with a biased perspective towards feminist intellectual conceptions. Due to the lack of specialized studies on this topic, the analysis was limited to a few newspaper articles published at the time of its release.
Results: The study reaches a set of results that indicate that the feminist novel, as manifested in "A Pinch of Salt," is an explicit and implicit expression of the feminist perspective, reflecting the author's feminist stance on self, society, and existence. Feminist writing is seen as a cultural and social intellectual turning point, reflected in changes in expression levels, language, and the unique presentation style, technique, structure, and ideologically charged language. The novel employs the senses and their celebration as a means to convey the self's fears, concerns, suppressed emotions, and fractures within enclosed spatial circles and strict social norms.
Conclusion: The study reveals the uniqueness of feminist texts in terms of language, presentation, shaping, and ideology, as literature produced by individuals characterized by their distinct perspectives, consciousness, and interaction with their surroundings. This literature embodies a revolutionary and rebellious quality, aiming to unveil silenced voices and expose societal injustices to instigate change.
