The stylistic deviation in the poetry collection "ʿOukaz Al-Riyāḥ" by the Mohammed al-Bariki

Objectives: The study aims to examine the significant phenomena of stylistic deviation in the collection "ʿOukaz Al-Riyāḥ" in terms of its aesthetic formations and rich intellectual content. This requires a reader capable of perceiving the hidden relationships between words and uncovering the meaning reflected by linguistic structures.
Methods: The study is based on the stylistic methodology with its artistic aesthetics and fruitful semantic levels. The importance of this approach is evident in observing the stylistic deviations in their aesthetic dimensions in the collection "ʿOukaz Al-Riyāḥ"
Results: The actual associative deviation dominates clearly, as we find a prevalence of verbs at the expense of nominal structures. Additionally, the additional deviation between the possessed and the possessor outweighs the attributive deviation in the poems of the collection. The poet also favors the use of present tense verbs more than past tense verbs. These deviations grant the poems a clear poetic quality by eliminating univocality, reinforcing plurality, transcendence, and subtle ambiguity. They also contribute to highlighting the poetic nature of the text and creating a vivid imaginative energy that ultimately leads to harmony in meaning and clarity in poetic vision.
Conclusion: The study concludes the significance of stylistic deviation in revealing the poet's creativity in linguistic structures and artistic imagery. The dominance of actual associative deviation over nominal structures, along with the extensive use of present tense verbs, embodies the poet's capacity for imagination and a desire to break free from the constraints of reality.
