Abstract

Objectives: This study examines economic security within the framework of human creation’s purpose—worship and stewardship—and the objectives of Islamic law. It emphasizes the role of economic security in promoting societal stability and its interdependence with Islamic principles. The study explores how individual faith-based commitment builds a communal system of worship, fostering national stability, security, and progress. Analyzing Islamic texts, including the Qur'an and Sunnah, it investigates the foundations, principles, and sources of economic security, guided by Islamic legal objectives and divine wisdom. Additionally, it identifies causes of economic insecurity as highlighted in the Qur'an.

Methods: The researcher employs an inductive approach to analyze relevant Qur'anic verses, Prophetic traditions, and scholarly interpretations. Findings from this analysis are then described using analytical and deductive methods to achieve the study's intended objectives.

Results: The study identifies the mechanisms for achieving economic security, the institutions responsible for its protection, and the strategies to overcome obstacles hindering its realization. Furthermore, it highlights the sources of economic security in Islam, demonstrating the strength, justice, and practicality of the Islamic economic system, as well as its distinct advantages compared to other economic models.

Conclusion: The study concludes that economic security is initially an individual responsibility that requires collective societal efforts and state oversight for its realization. This responsibility carries consequences in both worldly and spiritual contexts and represents a form of worship and adherence to Islamic law.
