الملخص

المنهجية: تستخدم هذه الورقة المنهج الاجتماعي السياسي والثقافي لمناقشة دور المفكر العربي المعاصر في عرض إمكانية سدّ الفجوة الثقافية والإنسانيةبين الشرق والغرب.

الأهداف: يتحرى هذا البحث موقف ودور مفكرين عربيين معاصرين، الطيب صالح وليلى حلبي، من إمكانية التواصل الإنساني والثقافي بين الشرق والغرب. كما تهدف الدراسة إلى تعقب تطور سلوك شخصيات الطيب صالح وليلى حلبي اتجاه الانسجام بين هاتين الثقافتين خلال القرن العشرين والعقد الأول من القرن الواحد والعشرين. وعليه، سيجري التركيز في هذه الورقة على العوامل الاجتماعية السياسية والثقافية والتاريخية والدينية التي ساهمت في توسيع الفجوة بين الغرب والدول العربية. تدرس الورقة الطيب صالح وليلى حلبي اللذان يصوران مغالطات ربط الشرق والغرب. رواية صالح "موسم الهجرة الى الشمال" (1966) ورواية حلبي "كان في أرض الميعاد" (2007) تتعاملان مع العوامل والعقبات الاجتماعية والثقافية والسياسية والتاريخية والدينية ودورها في توسيع الفجوة بين الشرق والغرب.

النتائج: تستنتج هذه الدراسة أنّ هناك مجموعتان من المفكرين العرب: المجموعة الأولى التي تعاني من الذكرايات المؤلمة من جراء العنف الاستعماري، وهم غير قادرين على خلق تجانس ثقافي مع الغرب. والمجموعة الثانية التي تمثل المفكرين العرب المتحررين فكرياً الذين يبدون استعدادا كبيرا للانخراط في الثقافة الغربية.

الخلاصة: تستخلص الدراسة أنّ جميع محاولات الشخصيات لخلق تناغم بين الشرق والغرب عقيمة.
