للذات دورها الخاص في امتلاك الأدوات والمحركات لبناء الفكرة الجديدة في الفن عمومًا والتصميم الكرافيكي على نحو خاص، وتكون الذات حاضرة في أداء وعمل المصمم المعاصر اليوم ولا سيما من خلال الأسلوب النابع من التجربة بيد أنها بجميعها قد تخضع إلى منطق التجريب ومحاولة النزول الى الساحة الخطابية الموجه من أجل التأثير في المتلقي، لذلك فقد حدد الباحث طرح المشكلة من خلال التساؤل الآتي: ما لدور الذي تؤديه الذات كتطبيق فعلي في التصميم الكرافيكي المعاصر من خلال التجريب والتطبيق؟
