يناقش البحث بنية الميتا سرد التي تعد من سرديات ما بعد الحداثة، وقد تضمن الفصل الأول مشكلة البحث وهدفه وأهميته وحدوده، في حين تضمن الفصل الثاني مبحثين، الأول كان تحت عنوان سرديات ما بعد الحداثة بين الرواية والفيلم الروائي، والثاني تحت عنوان آليات البناء الميتا سردي في الفيلم الروائي، فيما شمل الفصل الثالث إجراءات البحث، في حين شمل الفصل الرابع تحليل العينة وهي فيلم (جنينة الأسماك) للمخرج (يسري نصر الله)، ومن النتائج المستخلصة، شهدت عينة البحث تقانة كسر الإيهام السردي على ثلاثة مستويات من خلال تعليقات الممثلين والعناوين الفرعية والفيلم المضمن، لينتهي البحث بالمصادر.
