تهدف الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر التحول الديمقراطي على الفساد الحكومي في الحالة التونسية خلال الفترة (2006-2020) حيث تستخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي ومنهج تحليل النظم، وتفترض وجود علاقة عكسية بين المتغيرين، وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود تقدم ملحوظ في مؤشرات التحول الديمقراطي في تونس خلال فترة الدراسة، كما توصلت إلى عدم تراجع مستويات الفساد بعد الثورة رغم تقدم عملية التحول الديمقراطي، ويرتبط ذلك باتساع هامش حرية التعبير عن وجود ممارسات فساد وبالتالي رسوخ الانطباع بانتشارها، وقصر عمر عملية التحول الديمقراطي، اضافة الى وجود ارث طويل من ممارسات الفساد في ظل النظام السلطوي السابق، وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة ترسيخ دعائم النظام الديمقراطي وتعميق منظومة القيم الديمقراطية والحكم الرشيد في تونس، وضرورة تعزيز دور وقدرة المؤسسات التونسية المعنية بمكافحة الفساد كآليات تُسهم في كبح ممارساته.
