هَدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دور برامج التدريب الإلكتروني في تطوير المهارات الرقمية لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية في القرن الحادي والعشرين كما يراها مديري المدارس. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة أُعدت قائمة بالمهارات الرقمية، وصممت أداة الدراسة المتمثلة في استبانة مكونة من أربع مهارات رقمية رئيسية وتفرع عنها مايعادل (44) مهارة فرعية بعد التأكد من صدقها وثباتها، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (127) مديرًا تربويًا من الذكور والإناث في مديرية تربية الزرقاء الأولى والثانية، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن المهارات الرقمية لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية جاءت بدرجة تقدير متوسطة على جميع مجالات الأداة ككل؛ حيث جاء مجال مهارات الاستخدام الرقمي بالمرتبة الأولى، تلاه مجال مهارات البحث الرقمي بالمرتبة الثانية، وجاء مجال مهارات الإدارة الرقمية بالمرتبة الثالثة، ومهارات التصميم الرقمي في المرتبة الأخيرة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات عينة الدراسة لدور برامج التدريب الإلكتروني في تطوير المهارات الرقمية لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية تعزى إلى متغير المؤهل العلمي في مجال(مهارات البحث الرقمي، ومهارات الإدارة الرقمية)، ولصالح ماجستير فأعلى، وتعزى أيضًا إلى متغير الخبرة، كذلك أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى إلى متغير الجنس على جميع مجالات الأداة ككل.
