هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة ما إذا أثرت سياسة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب في معالجة قضايا المنطقة العربية في البرامج الحوارية بالقنوات الأجنبية الناطقة بالعربية أم لم تؤثر من وجهة نظر قادة الرأي العام العربي، وتعدّ هذه الدراسة من الدراسات المسحية واستهدفت 250 شخص بطريقة قصدية من قادة الرأي العام العربي من أكاديميين وإعلاميين وباحثين استجاب منهم 106 أشخاص، وجاء من أبرز النتائج أن قادة الرأي العام العربي اتخذوا موقف الحياد من موضوع تأثير سياسة ترامب في معالجة قضايا الدول العربية في البرنامجين على الرغم من عدّهم أن السياسة التحريرية في قناة الحرة متأثرة بسياسة ترامب في معالجة قضايا الدول العربية وغير متأثرة في قناة فرانس 24.يرى قادة الرأي العام العربي أن السياسة التحريرية للقنوات الأجنبية الناطقة باللغة العربية سياسات موجهة حسب سياسة الدول الراعية لها وتتسم بالانحياز التام في معالجة قضايا الدول العربية.
