إعاقة الذات والتشاؤم الدفاعي لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة ينبع: دراسة تنبؤية مقارنة

الملخص

الأهداف: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن مستويات إعاقة الذات، والتشاؤم الدفاعي، والفروق فيهما بين طلاب وطالبات المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظ ينبع، وإمكانية التنبؤ بإعاقة الذات بمعرفة التشاؤم الدفاعي.

المنهجية: أجريت الدراسة وفق المنهج الوصفي التنبؤي المقارن، وباستخدام مقياسي إعاقة الذات (SHS) لـ "جونز" و"روديوالت" (1982)، والتشاؤم الدفاعي لـ "نورم" و"كانتور" (1986). طُبِّقتْ أداتي الدراسة- بعد التحقق من صلاحيتهما- على عينة عنقودية متعددة المراحل مكونة من (635) طالب وطالبة.

النتائج: كشفت النتائج عن ممارسة متوسطة لإعاقة الذات والتشاؤم الدفاعي من قبل طلاب وطالبات المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة ينبع، وعن فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين الطلاب والطالبات في إعاقة الذات لصالح الطلاب، في حين لم تكن الفروق دالة إحصائيًا بين الطلاب والطالبات في التشاؤم الدفاعي. وأخيرًا، كشفت النتائج عن إمكانية التنبؤ بإعاقة الذات بمعرفة التشاؤم الدفاعي لدى أفراد العينة.

التوصيات: تقديم برامج إرشادية علاجية لخفض إعاقة الذات، ومنها البرامج القائمة على تأكيد الذات (Self- Affirmation). توصي الدراسة بتدريب الطلاب على كيفية ممارسة آلية التشاؤم الدفاعي بطريقة صحيحة، إذ إنَّ التشاؤم الدفاعي يمكن أن يكون سلوكًا صحيًا متى ما أفضى إلى خفض القلق، وتطويع الأفكار السلبية لصالح الطالب.
