الأهداف: عملت هذه الدِّراسة على تتبُّع أثر شخصيَّة رزق الله حسُّون، وظروفه التَّاريخيَّة، وصراعاته السِّياسيَّة في ترجمته أسفارًا من الكتاب المُقدَّس نظمًا في كتاب "أشعر الشِّعر"، ابتداء من اختيار موضوع التَّرجمة، وصولًا إلى الأدوات اللغويَّة والمفردات والأشكال العروضيَّة التي وظَّفها في ترجمته.
المنهجيَّة: اعتمد البحث على المنهج التَّاريخيِّ في تتبُّع شخصيَّة رزق الله حسُّون، وبعض الأحداث والصِّراعات السِّياسيَّة التي مرَّ بها. كما وظَّف البحث عددًا من مفاهيم الأسلوبيَّة الحديثة وبعض المقولات التُّراثيَّة العربيَّة في تتبُّع أثر حياة رزق الله حسُّون وشخصيَّته في اختيار محتوى التَّرجمة، وفي الأساليب اللغويَّة والعروضيَّة التي وظَّفها في ترجمته نظمًا لكتاب "أشعر الشِّعر".
النَّتائج: أبرز البحث أنَّ اختيار رزق الله حسُّون لموضوع ترجمته عددًا من أسفار الكتاب المُقدَّس مرتبط بطبيعة الظُّروف التي عاشها، وبحالة الاغتراب التي عانى منها. كما أظهر البحث أنَّ ميلَه إلى توظيف الأدوات والمفردات اللغويَّة القديمة والأساليب العروضيَّة النَّادرة والقوافي قليلة الشُّيوع مُتَّصلٌ، من جهة، بحالة الاغتراب التي عاشها، ومن جهة أخرى بموقفه السِّياسيِّ والقومي من الدَّولة العثمانيَّة. وبرز هذا الأمر من خلال تعمُّقه في الأدب العربيِّ واللغة العربيَّة، بالإضافة إلى اهتمامه بنشر عدد من المجلات باللغة العربيَّة والتَّرجمة إليها من اللغات الأخرى.
الخلاصة: خَلُص البحث إلى أنَّ ظروف حياة رزق الله حسُّون والصِّراعات السِّياسيَّة التي واجهها ذاتُ تأثيرٍ كبير في ترجمته كتابَ "أشعر الشِّعر"، على مستوى الموضوع والأساليب اللغويَّة والعروضيَّة التي استخدمها.
