الملخص

الأهداف: تبرز هذه الدراسة نشأة الجيش الشعبي في الأردن في عام 1970م، وأهمّ العوامل السياسية والعسكرية التي ساهمت في إنشائه؛ وتسلط الدراسة الضوء على تدريبات الجيش الشعبي المختلفة، ابتداء من عام 1970م وهو العام الذي صدر فيه قانون الجيش الشعبي في الجريدة الرسمية، وتوضيح طبيعة الدعم المالي المقدم للجيش الشعبي والجهات الدعمة له، حتى عام 1999 العام الذي توقفت عنده الدراسة؛ لنهاية حقبة حكم الملك الحسين بن طلال.

المنهجية: اعتمدت الدراسة على منهج البحث التاريخي الوصفي التحليلي، الذي يعتمد على استسقاء المعلومات من مصادرها الأصيلة مثل: الوثائق الأردنية المودعة في المكتبة الوطنية، والمذكرات الشخصية، والصحف الأردنية. وتصنيف هذه المعلومات وتمحيصها ومقارنتها ببعضها البعض.

النتائج: خلصت الدراسة إلى أن تجربة الجيش الشعبي في الأردن كانت تجربة غنية ومهمة؛ إذ كان الجيش الشعبي رديفاَ للجيش العربي الأردني، حيث أوكلت إليه العديد من الواجبات والمهام، وعممت التجربة على المدارس والجامعات والقرى والمدن الأردنية.

الخلاصة: شكل إنشاء الجيش الشعبي في الأردن على أثر قيام حرب 1967م، وأحداث أيلول 1970م، وما رافقها من ظروف عسكرية وسياسية، أهمية في اكتساب المواطنين الأردنيين مهارات عسكرية؛ بالإضافة لغرس الانتماء الوطني لدى الأردنيين.
