The Impact of “Bahrain Team's” Media Effort during COVID-19 Pandemic on the Behavior of Citizens and Residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the media coverage of the efforts of the Bahrain team in spreading health awareness among the public during the Coronavirus pandemic, the extent to which the public knew about the Bahrain team’s strategic plan to address the media of the pandemic and its impact on limiting the spread of the virus, The social media platforms most used to obtain news and information about the virus, and the most discussed and followed news topics during the period of the disease spread, with a sample of 140 citizens and residents in Bahrain, and to achieve these goals, the researcher prepared a tool to measure the efforts of the Bahrain National Team to address Corona virus. and after collecting data and analyzing it statistically, it reached the research indicated that 90.8% of the sample members confirmed the positive impact of the Bahrain team’s media plan in limiting the spread of Coronavirus, 98.5% of the sample members were satisfied with the media and communication efforts of the Bahrain team, 97.7% of the sample members changed their behavior after the directives of the national team. considering the research results, the researcher recommended that social media should be used to change negative health behaviors, and benefit from the media plans and strategies used by the Bahrain National Team to address the virus. Corona in crisis management due to the great ability that was provided to control the spread of the disease and to promote health awareness among citizens and residents.
