Abstract

Objectives: the study aims at highlighting the stages of emergence and development of these terrorist organizations, tracking their armed activities, and uncovering the connections and relationships among them to prove their role in supporting terrorism on the national Jordanian area.

Methods: To build the structure of the research and clearly state its image, the researcher followed the chronological picture in a sequential manner, the descriptive historical methodology combined with the methodology used in political science, which is based on presenting the results and recommendations to pass them to the official actors to develop appropriate solutions to protect society and the state from its effects.

Results: The research concluded with several results, the most important of which is revealing the existence of a real definition of society, the system, and the state, represented by the attempt of the extremist Islamic movement to hijack the state and change the rules of the system in it. Therefore, we recommend intensifying oversight and caution for fear of its return again.

Conclusion: There is a real terrorist threat Jordan in particular, led by some factions of the extremist Islamic movement. It appears at times and disappears at other times. Therefore, we recommend intensifying monitoring and caution and working to dry it out and prevent its expansion and rooting on the national scene because of its danger to society first and to the state in general.
