Objectives: This study aims to examine the dangers and threats posed by the Israeli right-wing on Jordan's national security. It also examines the impact of reduced international support for Jordan and sheds light on the long-term political, security, and economic impact of the Syrian crisis.
Methods: The study employs a descriptive-analytical methodology to examine external challenges with the most significant impact on Jordan's security and vital interests. It analyses these challenges and evaluates their adverse effects on Jordan politically and economically. Additionally, it identifies potential political steps to safeguard Jordanian interests.
Results: The study reveals that the Israeli society, based on recent election results, is increasingly leaning towards right-wing extremism, presenting a compounded threat to Jordan. It also highlights the strategic nature of Jordanian-American relations, exemplified by the increased American support. Furthermore, the Russian-Ukrainian war and the Syrian crisis have had compounded economic and political ramifications for Jordan.
Conclusions: The study concludes by emphasising the importance of Jordan's expansion of Arab and international alliances, enabling it to protect its interests amid the volatile international political landscape. Additionally, it underscores the pivotal role of economic stability as an indicator of political stability.
