Abstract

Objectives: The research aims to show this effect, explain it, treat it and study it. Due to the importance of the scholar Ibn Malik and the book Al-Masabi by Al-Damamini, especially since Al-Damamini was dealing with ambiguous matters in the Prophetic hadiths. On the other hand, Ibn Malik was one of the first to take the Prophetic hadiths as a reference for studying Arabic grammar. They were among his most important sources and this appears in the body of the research. The research dealt with grammatical and other issues. Linguistically, it is arranged in the same order as Al-Damamini. Whatever was first in his view was first in the research, and so on. Accordingly, the focus of the research was on everything related to the effects of Ibn Malik, his directives, and his opinions.

Methods: The research followed the inductive, descriptive, and analytical method. In an effort to clarify the areas of citation in Ibn Malik’s directives and to draw inspiration from them and extrapolate them, then analyze them and the opinion of al-Damamini and the grammarians regarding them. The research was limited to its title and what serves it, so it did not discuss much of the issues addressed. Oh God, except in situations where it is necessary.

Results: Among the results reached by the research is that Al-Damamini was influenced by Ibn Malik and the extent of his reliance on him in solving problematic issues, and Al-Damamini agreed with Ibn Malik’s directives on most issues. Ibn Malik had an influence in presenting different narrations and in directing them.

Conclusions: The research concludes with Al-Damamini’s interest in Ibn Malik and his doctrine when dealing with a grammatical or linguistic issue, and its impact in choosing one direction over another.
