Abstract

This study aims at recognizing social intelligence and its relationship to communication skills among physical education students at Jordanian Universities. It also aims at identifying the level of significance in the relationship between social intelligence and communication skills according to some demographic variables (gender, study level, and university). The descriptive approach (survey) was adopted in this research. The study sample consisted of (418) male and female students who were randomly chosen. Study instruments consisted of social intelligence and communication skills scales. Scales were verified in terms of validity and reliability. The sample of the study was taken from the faculties of physical education in Jordanian universities, namely the University of Jordan, the Hashemite University, Mut’ah University, and Yarmouk University. In order to answer the objectives of the study, the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) program was used, where the frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations were used. The study concludes that there is a positive relationship between social intelligence and communication skills. The study recommends to apply this research in different context..
