Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to determine the effectiveness of distance learning from the viewpoint of students of School of Mass Communication from Yarmouk University in light of the Corona crisis and its developments.

Methods: The study relied on a descriptive survey method; a questionnaire consisting of four main dimensions was distributed to the students. The dimensions are interaction, content, evaluation, and teaching tools. The questionnaire which was electronic was distributed to a sample of (350) male and female students selected through stratified randomization from School of Mass Communication at Yarmouk University.

Results: The results showed that the effectiveness of distance education in light of the spread of Corona virus in general was medium, and that the dimensions of the effectiveness of distance education came to a medium degree, as follows: First, interaction, second, content, third, distance education tools, fourth, evaluation.

Conclusions: The study recommended the development of plans, programs and training courses for both students and teachers to enable them to move towards distance learning in a way that ensures its continuity.
