Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the dependence of Jordanian public opinion leaders on Facebook as a source to obtain information related to the teachers' crisis (2020), the patterns and habits of this dependence and its causes, as well as to identify the sources that they relied on Facebook as a source for information related to the crisis. This research used the descriptive survey method due to its suitability to the nature of this study, and it relied on a sample of (60) single members using a simple random sample from the ability of the Jordanian public opinion, and this research reached several results, the most important of which are: The percentage of faculty members who use Facebook (95.0%), while the percentage of faculty members who do not use Facebook is (5.0%), it appears that the highest percentage of the study sample's distribution of individuals following Facebook as a source of information on the teachers' crisis is (52.6%), While the lowest percentage reached (17.5%), and it was also evident that there was a high degree in the cognitive, emotional and behavioral effects resulting from this dependence on Facebook as a source for information about the crisis, and a high degree appeared in the cognitive, emotional and behavioral effects resulting from dependence on Facebook.
