Objectives: The study aimed to foresee the futuristic roles of actors in the international system, in light of the inability of global health systems to control the COVID-19, and the different mechanisms adopted by countries in controlling the virus. As the Corona virus is spreading widely in various countries of the world, it will have an impact on the mechanisms and tools of the international system in the future.
Methods: The study uses the systemic analysis approach.
Results: The study concluded that the future of the international system revolves in two directions: A trend believes that forces in the international system will not change, while the other trend believes that changes will take place related to the ability of countries to deal with COVID-19 and achieve economic growth rates. Therefore, the expected future of the system will be based on unequal central pluralism.
Conclusion: Studying political effects of the pandemic on the roles of actors in the international system led to fact that the role of the nation-state remained the most effective role on all activities. It was also emphasized that the state is the crucial player in the international system while the role of international organizations has greatly declined in relation to the state.
