The Impact of the Practice of Strategic Adaptation on Security Crisis Management Strategies: An Applied Study in the Jordanian Public Security Directorate

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the impact of the practice of strategic adaptation on security crisis management strategies in the Jordanian public security directorate by identifying the level of application of strategic adaptation and identifying the level of application of crisis management strategies.
Methods: The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach. A questionnaire was developed as a tool for collecting primary data and distributed throughout the study population consisting of (329) individuals from the upper and middle administrations of the Jordanian Public Security Service. The number of valid questionnaires for statistical analysis was (284), and to answer the questions of the study and test its hypotheses, the structural modeling program (Smart.PLS4) was used.
Results: The results showed that the level of practicing strategic adaptation with its dimensions was high, and the arithmetic mean was (4.438). The level of crisis management strategies with its dimensions reached a high degree, and the arithmetic mean was (4.412). In the Jordanian public security apparatus, it was found that there is a statistically significant effect of the practice of strategic adaptation in the security crisis management strategies in the Jordanian public security apparatus.
Conclusions: The study recommended the need to continue to maintain the high level of application of the practice of strategic adaptation, and to deal with security crises efficiently and effectively.
