Objectives: The aim of the current study was to uncover the relationship between family interactions and positive personality traits, identify the extent to which family interactions contribute to predicting positive personality traits, and explore gender differences in personality traits.
Methods: The researcher used a list of personality traits and a list of family interactions on a sample of adolescents consisting of 181 secondary school students. The study followed a predictive descriptive approach.
Results: The study found statistically significant positive correlations between family interactions and personality traits. Additionally, it revealed the ability of family interactions to predict personality traits. The study found no significant gender differences in wisdom, justice, and moderation, while statistically significant differences were found in courage and transcendent human differences, favoring females.
Conclusions: The study recommends fostering positive family interactions and enhancing aspects of personality traits among adolescents through counseling programs. Further research on personality traits and family interactions is encouraged.
